matek is a cape town based musician and artist. he is a vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist, as well as a DJ and visual artist.

in 2008, he released the lightflow EP, followed by his debut full length album, entitled internal fire. internal fire is a multimedia release with a digital interface containing lyrics and bonus artwork. it is now available as a digital download from many online retailers, including itunes, amazon.com and napster.

matek is currently working on his upcoming 2nd album, entitled new dawn. new dawn will be released late 2011. he is also collaborating with vanessa nova on a music project called twindragon. twindragon released their debut EP, twindragon is born in 2010, followed by a
2-track digi-single be the change / lighthouse in april 2011.

matek has had his music featured on documentaries, including billabong's girls get out there and the travel channel's andrew zimmern's bizarre world.
